It was a big night for the Cape Breton University Capers offence as six players scored in double figures in a 92-42 rout of the University of Maine-Fort Kent Bengals at the Capers Fall Classic men's basketball invitational at Centre 200 in Sydney.

Subway Player of the Game Meshack Lufile poured in a game high 20 points to go with 12 rebounds for the Capers.

'Swiss Air' Christian Affolter and Patrick Hauri added 14 points apiece for the victors while Sean McCormick chipped in with 12 points, eight boards and six assists.

Kelson Devereaux and Ashton Stephenson had 11 and 10 respectively to round out CBU's double-digit scorers.

Nikola Vukosavovic led the Bengals with 11 points while Fred Sanchez and Mauro Vicic chipped in with seven apiece in a losing cause.

William Donkoh dropped 22 points and Rodrigo Madera finished with 17 points and eight rebounds as the X-Men rolled past their AUS rivals, the UPEI Panthers.

Jordan Clarke with 12 points and eight rebounds and Julius Antone with 11 points and five rebounds were other top players for StFX.

Lorenzo Parker had 20 points and Jayden Skinner 17 points for UPEI.

Acadia 84, Holland College 60

Five players scored in double figures for the Axemen as they opened the tournament with a convincing win over Holland College.

Kyle Arsenault led the Acadia scorers with 16 points and nine rebounds.

Shaquille Smith and Anthony Sears had 15 points apiece for Acadia and Lauchlan Gale 13 and Anthony Ash 12 in a winning cause.

Orlando Palmer had 20 points and seven rebounds for the Hurricanes.
