MSOC CAPERS Win Friday Night Tilt

Sydney, NS- 2nd player Cory Bent (Preston, UK) scored the only goal of the game with an assist going to 1st-year player Charlie Waters(Lancashire, UK). The CAPERS fired 8 shots on goal. CBU Goalkeeper Ben Jackson (Bury, UK) finished with 4 saves in a strong performance between the pipes. Acadia goalie Nik Jeffries was also strong in goal turning aside 7 shots in a losing cause. Cape Breton outshot their valley rivals 17-5.

 

Turning point

Bent's goal came in the 55' and gave the CAPERS confidence heading into the final 35 minutes of the game. They were able to able more pressure on the Acadia defence from that point on.
