WBB: Brown leads CAPERS to victory in Home Opener

Sydney, NS – The CAPERS defeated the St.FX X-Women in their home opener 82–63 at the Sullivan Fieldhouse on Saturday night. The CAPERS were led by 5th-year forward Hannah Brown (North Sydney, NS) with 33 pts and 10 rebs. The CAPERS used a pressure defence to force 31 turnovers by ST.FX. The X-Women were led in scoring by Kimberly Kingsbury with 17 pts.


Turning point – The CAPERS limited the X-Women to just 12 points in the 3rdquarter and increased their first half-lead to 13 points by the end of the period.

  • The CAPERS Brown led all players with 33 pts
  • Brown also led the game with 10 rebounds
  • CBU's Toni Bianchini (Groves Point, NS) had a game-high 6 assists
  • ST.FX's Brianna Gottshall and Jamie McCarron each had three 3-pointers
