CAPERS IN SOLE POSSESSION OF 1ST PLACE

SYDNEY, NS - The 8th Ranked Cape Breton University CAPERS kept their undefeated season intact. The CAPERS beat #10 ranked Memorial University Seahawks in a seesaw battle between the conference's top 2 teams.

 

With the win, the CAPERS move to 5-0-0 on the season while the Seahawks drop to 4-1-0. The lone goal in the contest was scored by freshman Chelsea Foote (Halifax, NS) early in the 2nd half.

 

4th-year keeper, Lysianne Trottier (Barrie, ON) earned another clean sheet for the CAPERS by making 4 saves. Memorial keeper Taylor Doyle played well for the visitors by making a pair of difficult saves. Chelsea Foote was named the Subway Player of the Game for her efforts.

 

The CAPERS are in action again on Sunday against the Mount Allison Mounties, start time is 1pm. Memorial continues their road trip at St.FX.
