The CAPERS dominated the Panthers in AUS men's basketball action tonight at the Sullivan Fieldhouse.
The CAPERS were the first to score in the game and kept the lead until UPEI had a 9 point run to take a brief lead. The CAPERS regained the lead to 22-21 at the buzzer. The score stayed close for the first part of the second quarter then the CAPERS took an 11 point lead. The Panthers rallied back to within 2 at the half.
The CAPERS widened the margin throughout the third quarter to jump ahead by 16. The same trend continued in the fourth with the CAPERS offence too strong for the Panthers. The game ended with the CAPERS ahead 84-65.
Tafarian Black earned the Subways of CBRM Player of the Game for his 24 points, 10 rebounds, 1 steal and 2 blocks. The player of the game for the UPEI Panthers was Nicolas Gonzalez Longarela with 13 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists.
The CAPERS will take on the UPEI Panthers again tomorrow at 4pm with the women playing beforehand at 2pm.
