The Cape Breton University Capers dropped a 77-76 decision to the Memorial Sea-Hawks in AUS women's basketball action Sunday in Sydney.
The Capers (5-3) stormed out of the gate Sunday, taking a 24-7 lead after one quarter and maintaining an 11-point edge, 39-28, at the half.
The Sea-Hawks would not go wilt however, shooting 70 per cent from the field in the second half to rally back to the 77-76 victory.
Jalynn Skeir had 20 points and five assists for the home side.
Colleen Keane added 15 points, 11 assists and four assists for the Capers while Alison Keough recoded a double-double of her own with 15 points and 10 boards.
Sydney Stewart Memorial with a game high 31 points. Chante Clarke chipped in with 12 points for the winners.
