Uyanze joining CAPERS Women's Basketball program this fall

The Cape Breton University Women's Basketball Program is happy to announce that Gabrièla Uyanze will be joining our CAPER Family. Gabrièla is a 5'9" guard from Ottawa, Ontario who played for Louis Riel Academy. She will pursue a Bachelor of Business Administration - Finance while playing for the CAPERS beginning in the 2025-26 basketball season. Gabrièla chose CBU for her U SPORTS journey as she feels she can learn a lot from Coach Fabian and the current CAPERS. "I believe CBU is the ideal environment to develop my game and grow as a player," she shared. "

Gabrièla feels she can make a difference on the defensive end and create good shot opportunities for her teammates. "On and off the court, I plan on bringing positive energy to the team."
