SYDNEY, NS - The CBU CAPERS fought with the STFX X-Women tonight in AUS women's soccer action that ended in a 1-1 tie at Ness Timmons Field. The first half saw both teams struggling to finish their plays with each team only having 1 shot on goal each. They both headed to the locker room scoreless.
Both teams seemed more focused at the start of the second half. Makenna Bowser was the first to put a point on the board with an assist from Makenna Acevedo at the 55 minute mark. 12 minutes later, the X-Women retaliated with an unassisted goal by Bryn Canning to bring the score to 1-1. The CAPERS put 7 shots on net in the second half but could only get one past STFX keeper Sarah Bach. CAPERS keeper Ellie Lancaster stopped 3 of 4 shots by the X-Women.
The Player of the Game for STFX was Rylin Matheson and the Subways of CBRM Player of the Game for CBU was Makenna Bowser.

The CAPERS will be hosting the Bell 2025 AUS Women's Soccer Championships presented by Protocase on October 23-26. The draw for the tournament will be finalized after the end of the regular season on October 18. Stay tuned for more information coming.
