Eisan throws for second place in Saint John Track and Field meet
The CAPERS varsity track & field team participated in another exhibition meet at the Inring Oil Fieldhouse in Saint John, NB last weekend.
Hailie Eisan threw well in Women's University Weight Thow finishing second overall with a throw of 13:12 Meters. The throwers will have their final meet prior to AUS next Sunday Feb. 8 in Truro. AUS competition is slated for Feb. 20 & 22 in Moncton, NB.
Zane Osuji competed in both the men's 60M sprints and the men's long jump in Saint John. Zane performed well in his preliminary heat but unfortunately did not qualify for the men's 60M university final. Zane is improving his long jump at a great pace. He jumped three personal bests establishing his new PB of 5:11 meters.
Makayla Frosst competed in the women's 1500 and 1000 meters. Makayla set times of 6:31 and 4:09 in these two events.
Due to illness and injury, the other team members were not able to compete.
The team is travelling to Halifax this weekend for the SMU Open. Best of luck!
