Kiyara Letlow – a fourth-year forward with the Cape Breton University (CBU) CAPERS women's varsity basketball team – who averaged a double-double in a pair of opening weekend home victories over the UNB REDS to tip off the Atlantic University Sport (AUS) regular season, is the 7by7 Restaurant CBU female athlete of the week for the week ending Nov 3.
On Nov. 1, at the Sullivan Fieldhouse on the CBU campus in Sydney, Letlow finished with 16 points, 10 rebounds and one blocked shot in a 69-60 win over UNB.
The 6'1" student-athlete collected 17 points, 23 rebounds, two assists and two steals in a 68-62 triumph on Nov. 2.
Letlow, a native of Toronto, is averaging 16.5 points and an AUS-best 16.5 rebounds per game.
The CAPERS will return to action on Thursday, Nov. 7, when they travel to Antigonish to face the STFX X-Women in a 6 p.m. AST start.

With key contributions on both ends of the floor that helped the Cape Breton University (CBU) CAPERS men's varsity basketball team score a pair of opening weekend home victories over the UNB REDS to tip off the Atlantic University Sport (AUS) regular season, Aaron Cunningham is the 7by7 Restaurant CBU male athlete of the week for the week ending Nov 3.
On Nov. 1, at Sullivan Fieldhouse on the CBU campus in Sydney, the native of Orangeville, Ontario – who finished with one rebound and one assist in 17 minutes – as the CAPERS held the high-scoring REDS in check in a convincing 87-59 win.
Cunningham, along with another strong defensive effort – which included two blocked shots, two steals and four defensive rebounds – scored 13 points and dished out an assist in a 78-67 come-from-behind triumph over the REDS on Nov. 2. At a key point of the second-half rally, the 6'5" guard-forward meshed eight consecutive points.
The CAPERS will return to action on Thursday, Nov. 7, when they travel to Antigonish to face the STFX X-Women in an 8 p.m. AST start.
