CBU's David Solanke takes home bronze in men's AUS track & field
The CBU men's team participated in the AUS track & field championships hosted by the University of New Brunswick at the Inving Oil Fieldhouse in Saint John , NB, from February 20-22.
Second-year David Solanke took home the bronze medal in the long jump with a distance of 6.4m. He also had a 6th place finish in the high jump with a height of 1.65 m.
First-year Blake Hervé placed qualified for the final heat of the 60m sprint and placed 12 overall with a time of 7.37 seconds. He was disqualified in his 300m race.
First-year Liam Peterson just missed making the final heat of the 60m sprint and placed 17th overall with a time of 7.45 seconds. He placed 14th in the 300m sprint with a time of 38.19.
First-year Danial Ifeanyi placed 22nd in the 60m with a time of 7.67 seconds and 23rd in the 300m with a time of 40.58.
First-year Ben Applin placed 25th in the 60m with a time of 7.94 seconds and 9th in the 15.87kg weight throw with a distance of 9.79m.
Second-year Tejvir Singh Grewal placed 15th in the 300m with a time of 38.37 seconds and 9th in the 600m run with a time of 1:27.29.
First-year Nolan Neville placed 25th in the 1500m run with a time of 4:25.67 and 13th in the 3000m run with a time of 9:37.45.
First-Year Adam Scheinburg placed 32nd in the 1500m with a time of 5:11.58 and 19th in the 3000m run with a time of 11:11.44.
The men's 4x200m relay placed 7th with a time of 1:37.33 and the men's 4x400m relay team placed 5th with a time of 3:40.01.
