Sport

Women’s soccer

Why did you choose to come to CBU?

I always looked up to the CAPERS and wanted to stay on a locally and nationally respected team.

What is your pre-game routine and how long have you been doing it?

Pasta, water, music. And once warm-up starts I try to picture myself performing what I want to accomplish in that particular game.

What do you do in your free time?

Hiking, camping and fishing in the summer. Coaching and playing soccer as well throughout the year.

Who’s your favourite professional athlete and why?

Robin Van Persie - for his incredible skill. But Desire Scott because she's small-town grown and an inspiring person.

What is your best memory from playing your sport?

Winning the provincial title after being the underdogs the whole season at Under-16.

If you weren’t playing this sport, what would you be doing and why?

I can safely say I have no idea, it's such a big part of my life. I would like to think that I would be traveling and studying more but who knows!

When did you start playing your sport? How did you get started?

When I was five, I was put in it by my parents choice and loved it ever since.

What is your favourite place to eat and why?

Don Cherry's sports bar. If you try the Cherry's chicken crunch sandwich with fries I won't have to explain why.

Where would you go for your dream vacation and why?

California, I'd love to surf the West Coast.

How did playing varsity sports improve your university experience?

It's practically MADE my experience. I love my science program, but soccer is the reason I try as hard as I do in life. It's given me motivation to do my best at everything and I've met all my best friends because of it.
