The scoring drought continues for the Cape Breton University women's soccer team.
The defending AUS champion Capers were shutout for the third consecutive game Sunday, dropping a 1-0 decision to the Acadia Axewomen at the Cape Breton Health Recreation Complex on the CBU campus.
After a scoreless first half, Candace Conrad put Acadia in front at the 47-minute mark. It would be the only goal of the context and would hold up as the winner for the second place Axewomen who improved to 5-0-5 on the year.
The Capers fell to 4-4-1 overall.
Caroline Wood made 11 saves for Acadia in the win. Tiffany O'Donnell made 13 saves in a losing cause for the Capers.
