Sydney, NS - The CAPERS added another tally in the win column tonight with a 3-0 score over the Saint Mary's Huskies in AUS women's soccer action at Ness Timmons Field. Paige Allaby opened the scoring 7 minutes before the half with an assist from Grace Hannaford. Grace then put in a goal of her own 7 minutes into the second half assisted by Paige Allaby. At the 58th minute, Allaby scored her second goal of the game with an assist from Makenna Acevedo. The Huskies had 5 shots in each half but CAPERS keeper, Ellie Lancaster, made the stops for another shutout. The player of the game for the HUskies was Braelyn Odell and the SUBWAYS in CBRM PLayer of the Game was Paige Allaby.
Saint Mary's will travel back to Halifax to face off against the DAL Tigers on Sunday while CBU will host the UPEI Panthers. Kick off will be at 11:00am for the women's game and 1:30 for the men's game. The Multicultural Association of Cape Breton will be on hand for the Global Kickoff Community Market.
